What should you evaluate?
Coordinate formulas, batches and material traceability. Use a representative transaction and confirm the exact edition, modules and interface responsibilities. A category identifies documented scope; it is not a guarantee of fit. Formula and lot workflows need their own evaluation alongside financial ERP.
Formula versions
A released recipe must be distinguishable from later changes.
Ask: Show formula approval and which version a completed batch retains.Units and scaling
Weight, volume and pack quantities can change calculation behavior.
Ask: Demonstrate scaling and unit conversions with our real formula.Lot genealogy
A lot may be split, blended, consumed or reworked.
Ask: Trace an input lot through split and blended output batches.Quality holds
Stock availability and permission to use stock are different states.
Ask: Show material on hold, release authority and a rejected consumption.Yield and expiry
Actual output, loss and expiry influence planning.
Ask: Record a short-yield batch and inspect expiry and remaining quantities.Migration and export
Historical links are easily lost in a migration.
Ask: Provide an export preserving recipe versions, lot links and batch records.Sources behind these evaluation criteria
